Principal’s Message

Hello! I am excited and honored to serve as Principal of Schaghticoke Middle School.

I’ve spent nearly my whole career working with middle schoolers and my appreciation only grows as I witness their incredible spirit, boundless curiosity, and unique humor each and every day. There is truly no other age group quite like them!

Middle school is a vibrant time defined by massive shifts, constant changes, and wonderful explorations as students discover who they are. Navigating these social and emotional transitions is a unique journey for every child. At SMS, we are dedicated to meeting students where they are while supporting the trajectory of their personal growth.

Crucially, these years are also about leaning into deeper academic challenges. We are committed to fostering a dynamic learning environment that builds critical thinking, resilience, and opportunities for academic excellence.

During my time in New Milford, I have learned just how special this community is. I look forward to partnering with our families and staff as we work collaboratively to help Schaghticoke students explore, evolve and excel.
